Lower Otter Restoration Project features on BBC Radio Four’s Farming Today

Our Head of Wildlife and Conservation, Dr Sam Bridgewater, has been interviewed on BBC Radio Four’s Farming Today programme, about the Lower Otter Restoration Project.

Work is getting underway on the £15 million project at Budleigh Salterton, which will reconnect the Otter Estuary with its original floodplain for the first time since 1812.

The managed realignment is designed to avoid a catastrophic breach of embankments which were built over 200 years ago, and address the impact of climate change.
