Clinton Devon Estates Director John Varley has been interviewed on BBC Countryfile about the success of the River Otter Beaver Trial.
In the piece, which was broadcast on Sunday 8th August, John describes the outcome of the project as “one of the finest examples of beavers in the wild in England.”
He also discusses the positive impact the beavers have had had on the environment, surrounding residential areas and other wildlife in East Devon.
On a walk along the River Otter, John shows presenter Tom Heap the results of the beavers’ dam building activities and considers the benefits and challenges they bring.
