A team of keen women walkers from Clinton Devon Estates has taken part in the Twilight Walk in Exmouth.
The Twilight Walk is a 5 or 10-mile fundraising walk or run, which raises money for Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare, a local hospice charity delivering end of life care to patients across Exeter, Mid and East Devon for over 25 years.
The Clinton Devon Estates team – Gaynor Hayne, Amanda Brogan, Kate Ponting and Kim Strawbridge – joined hundreds of other women at the starting point at The Maer, Exmouth for a ‘Pink Fizz’ themed sponsored walk across Exmouth’s picturesque Seafront, with entertainment around the course cheering the women on.
Kate Ponting, Countryside Learning Officer at Clinton Devon Estates, commented: “This is the second time that we have taken part in this fantastic fundraising event for Hospiscare, and although we were a smaller group of ladies this time, we are proud to have raised over £200 for a very worthwhile local charity. The support on the walk was amazing, and the weather perfect. We certainly hope to take part again next year!”.
Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare provide specialist care to patients suffering from life limiting conditions, and offer a range of services to patients, carers, and family members including Carers’ Support Group and a Bereavement Group.
